Motorhome Air Suspension Kits: Find the Right Kit for Your Vehicle

Find a semi-air suspension kit for the vehicle beneath your motorhome. Start with the base make and model, then confirm the rear chassis and suspension layout.

Before you choose

The details we need.

Every motorhome and campervan is built on a base vehicle. A motorhome name or model alone does not identify the rear suspension. These details help you narrow down the correct collection before checking the individual kit.

Base make & model
For example, Fiat Ducato or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
Base vehicle year
The chassis build year, which may differ from first registration.
Rear chassis type
Original vehicle chassis or a conversion such as AL-KO.
Drivetrain
Front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
Rear wheel layout
Single or twin wheels on each side of the rear axle.
Kit-specific details
Check the product requirements, including handbrake type where listed.

Match the vehicle underneath

Find your motorhome’s base vehicle.

Fiat Ducato is a very common starting point, particularly with original rear leaf-spring suspension. Some Ducato motorhomes use an AL-KO chassis instead. Other bases include Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter, MAN TGE and front-wheel-drive Ford Transit.

Check year, drivetrain and rear wheels

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

Sprinter motorhomes and campervans use several chassis configurations. Match the base vehicle year, drivetrain and single or twin rear wheels before choosing your suspension kit.

What to check

Compare the rear axle, springs and mounting area with the relevant product fitment details.

Front-wheel drive: chassis type matters

Ford Transit (FWD)

Front-wheel-drive Transit motorhomes can require different fitments from other Transit versions. Check the year and whether yours uses a dedicated motorhome chassis or a converted van chassis.

What to check

Choose the FWD collection for your year and chassis type. A Transit Custom or rear-wheel-drive Transit needs its own matching kit.

Volkswagen Crafter rear chassis and suspension underside

Choose the correct generation and layout

Volkswagen Crafter

Crafter fitment varies by model year, drivetrain and rear wheel layout. Identify whether your vehicle is front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, then choose the matching collection.

What to check

Confirm single or twin rear wheels and compare the rear suspension mounting area.

MAN TGE rear chassis and suspension underside

Use the exact MAN fitment

MAN TGE

For a MAN TGE motorhome or campervan, start with the base vehicle year, drivetrain and rear wheel layout. Choose the matching MAN collection and check the individual kit requirements.

What to check

Check the rear suspension and axle layout. Do not assume fitment from a similar-looking vehicle.

Fitment first

Know your base? Find your kit.

Use the kit finder with your base vehicle details, then check the selected product’s compatibility. Once the fitment is right, compare the controls available across our Basic, Standard, Comfort and Digital Remote systems.

A little clarity

Motorhome air suspension questions.

Is my motorhome make the same as its base vehicle make?

Not necessarily. The motorhome manufacturer builds the living area or conversion. The base vehicle manufacturer supplies the underlying vehicle. For suspension fitment, we need details such as Fiat Ducato, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or Ford Transit, together with the rear chassis type.

How do I find the base vehicle and chassis details?

Start with your vehicle handbook, base vehicle documentation and chassis identification plates. Your registration document may help, but the first registration year can differ from the base vehicle build year. If the documents are unclear, ask your motorhome dealer to identify the base vehicle and rear chassis.

Do all Fiat Ducato motorhomes use the same suspension kit?

No. First establish whether your motorhome has the original Fiat rear leaf-spring chassis or an AL-KO chassis. The year, handbrake arrangement and other product-specific fitment details can also affect which kit is suitable.

What is the difference between single and twin rear wheels?

Single rear wheels means one wheel on each side of the rear axle. Twin rear wheels means two wheels side by side on each side of that axle. This is different from a motorhome having two separate rear axles.

Which semi-air suspension system should I choose?

Confirm the vehicle fitment first. Basic adjusts both air springs together. Standard gives separate left and right adjustment. Comfort adds switch-operated control, while Digital Remote adds a digital controller and programmable presets. The choice is about the control and convenience you want.

Can these kits also fit campervans?

Yes, where the specific kit matches the campervan’s base vehicle and chassis. Use the same checks for make, model, year, drivetrain and rear wheel layout. Always read the product fitment details before ordering.
